The County Fair

Each year in counties and communities all over the United States the fair comes to town.  Most of the county fairs are based around agriculture and local businesses and causes.  If you are not big on going to your county’s local fair, then maybe you should think of it differently.  When you support the local county fair, you are doing more than you might realize to help out in your community.  If you are a small business and you have yet to look into how you can get involved in a county fair, then you could be missing out on potential customers and business.

Consumers at the fair:

• Help boost the local economy by keeping the money local and helping to generate jobs.  When local goods and services are purchased at the fair, then the money is likely to go back into the local economy.
• Help local businesses to gain popularity.
• Support community causes.

Small businesses at the fair:

• Spread the word about their business.
• Make some extra money.
• Reach out to new or prospect customers for future transactions.

So next time your county fair comes around, don’t hold off on going.  Consumers and businesses alike will be helping the local economy and doing their part for the community.
